wHO WE ARE

We help protect the world’s wildlife.

MISSIoN

Biodiversity Institutes for Conservation and Education (BICE) is a non-profit organization which creates affordable and efficient plans for communities of all sizes to involve their citizenry in the responsible stewardship of specific animal groupings.

OUR goal

Our aim is to rebuild, repopulate and restore the native ecosystems and biomes for the world’s wildlife and plant life, in order to create a more sustainable future for all life and develop human appreciation for all life forms as the key to their own survival.

FACILITIES

All BICE facilities will be entirely ‘green’, using sustainable building methods and materials. Sustainable forms of energy (such as solar) will power all facilities.

Zoological FACILITIES

The purpose of these institutes would be to preserve, conserve and propagate the world’s fauna and flora, especially those with decreasing population trends.

CONCEPT INSTITUTES

This Institute seeks to provide its animals a supportive environment in which to thrive and grow and, at the same time, offer guests a unique opportunity to fully immerse themselves into a healthy, quiet and natural environment.

concept FULL-FLEDGED ZOOS

Biodiverse, full-fledged zoos entail facilities whose collections contain multiple taxonomic groups rather than focusing on only one, as do the Institutes.

concept MUSEUMS

BICE museums would provide homes for storage of such materials, as well as bringing the means for education, research, and display to local communities.

Our Mission

BICE creates templates utilizing the most successful captive breeding research and conservation programs with franchise pre-planned concepts; providing the most efficient, effective, affordable and sustainable designs possible.

Benefit to local communities

ECONOMIC

BICE will contribute to the stimulation of local businesses and tax revenues, increasing tourism with collaborative advertising and cross-promotions with small businesses.

EDUCATIONAL

For the purposes of further education and scientific research, BICE also will help counties (and similar regional sub-divisions), community/junior colleges and universities plan, design, and build natural history museums with collections and repositories for paleontological, contemporary zoological, and herbarium/contemporary botanical specimens and material.

ENTERTAINMENT

Along with the food court, coffee shop, and snack shop, BICE facilities will offer a unique dining experience with an on-site restaurant featuring views of at least one of the animal taxa within the collection.

RECREATIONAL

On the lands BICE owns, after restoration is complete, we open public access to them for recreational purposes such as hiking, camping, biking, horseback riding, etc.

GOVERNMENT

Although BICE is politically non-partisan, we do engage in political advocacy and lobbying concerning environmental matters, endorsing or opposing, globally, individual policies pertaining to relevant issues (similar to the World Wildlife Fund, The Nature Conservancy, National Audubon Society, Center for Biological Diversity and Safari Club International, etc.).

A word from Indigo

My purpose in life, which has never wavered; is finding a path to ensure a healthy, sustainable natural world through the building of facilities dedicated to the conservation and propagation of endangered and threatened species and their habitats.

I believe this can only be done through directly engaging human communities in this responsibility through education, their cooperation and their participation.
BICE is the outgrowth of this vision. BICE is a means for everyone, everywhere, to be actively involved in this important endeavor.

BICE offers a next step in shifting human beings’ perception of the natural world as a source of entertainment and economic ends, to evolve to a respectful understanding of the natural world as the source of our very future existence.
